
Make sure Show compatible hardware is checked. Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer. Choose Browse my computer for driver software. Navigate to Driver tab and click the Update Driver button. Locate the Controller information section under the General tab and click the Properties button. Right-click the playback device you want and select Properties. After some experimentation I discovered a way to finally remove it:
Uninstalling IDT Audio via the device manager resulted in IDT Audio automatically re-installing itself.
Audio driver (working): High Definition Audio Device.
Playback device title: Communication Headphones. I was able to resolve this problem by uninstalling the audio drivers my computer came with and using generic audio drivers instead.
